DirectorBallpen Legal was founded by Erwin Sohn, a seasoned legal professional with over 35 years of experience across South Africa and Australia. Erwin holds degrees in Arts and Law (B.A.LL.B) and is admitted to practice in both the Supreme Court of South Africa and Western Australia. He is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Notaries (MANZCN).
Erwin’s career spans private practice, leadership roles in national firms, and corporate legal directorships. His reputation for integrity, precision, and client-focused service is the foundation of Ballpen Legal.

Senior LawyerJoining Erwin in leading the practice is his daughter, Lara Sohn. Lara holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia. Her career includes roles as an in-house lawyer for a national resources company, regulatory lawyer at ASIC, and solicitor at top-tier and international law firms.
Lara’s practice covers corporate, commercial, property, and estate planning. She brings a unique blend of technical expertise and commercial insight, helping clients navigate complex legal issues with clarity and confidence.
